If you suspect that the sensor is at fault you should first remove the power to the oven for a few moments and then reconnect.

This is to prevent any possible injuries. The oven door has been locked accidentally if there is food in the oven let the oven cool to room temperature and try to unlatch the door. Wait a minute or two and then try to open it again. If your oven is cool then you may have child lock turned on or need to power cycle the range to unlock the door.

This may reset the control and allow you to unlock the door. To unlock an oven hold down the lock button on your control panel for 2 or 3 seconds and wait for the oven to beep to indicate it s unlocked. 4 slide the door locking lever on front of the oven if applicable or simply just open the door. If you still cannot unlock the door then you can check the oven temperature sensor from the back.

If that does not unlock the door run a short self clean cycle 1 2 hours. The oven should unlock. 3 set the flashing clock to the current time. Then plug it back in again which may reset the temperature gauge and cause it to unlock.

If you try to use your oven and find it locked press the clear or reset button to stop the oven and turn it off. If no food or utensils are in the oven start a self clean cycle then hit clear off after 60 seconds. Oven door is locked as a safety precaution your range s door will lock when the oven gets too hot. Remove power again and remove the back panel.

Allow the cleaning cycle to run for about 60 seconds and then cancel it. 2 wait approximately 10 minutes and reapply power to the oven.
